Norwegian forest cat (NFO) Norwegian Forest Cat came to Finland in 1979. Since then the number of registrations has steadily increased. Today the breed is very popular. Norwegian Forest Cat is quite large and strongly built. Her head is triangular, nose is long and the profile is straight. Chin is firm and her eyes are large, oval and well opened. Ears have lynx-like tufts. Tail is long and bushy. Her fur is semi-long and woolly undercoat is covered by a water repellent uppercoat. A fully coated cat has a shirtfront, a full frill and knickerbockers. All the colours are permitted. She is a very friendly, social and playful cat.
